Authorities at the Katsina State Police Headquarters have confirmed the arrest of two soldiers suspected of distributing Russian flags to EndBadGovernance protesters in the state.

According to sources, the suspects were apprehended in Funtua Local Government Area. The soldiers, who are currently on leave from their barracks, are believed to have supplied the flags to the protesters.

Initial investigations conducted at the Funtua Police Station reportedly support some of the allegations. The soldiers, though on leave, remain active members of the military.

The case has since been transferred to the Katsina State Police Command Headquarters for further investigation, where inquiries are ongoing.

Efforts to reach the police spokesperson for comments were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
